Dr Jassim Haji has management and executive experience in Aviation, Hospitality, Technology and Telecommunications for over 30 years. He has served on the board of directors of a leading hospitality and tourism technology provider in the Middle East and on SITA Council representing Middle East and North Africa. Furthermore, he has been part of the Bahrain Centre of Excellence, which is over-looking excellence in the public sector.
Dr. Haji has been instrumental in implementing some key innovations at Gulf Air’s IT systems and processes in recent times, most notably, the introduction of advanced technology for Gulf Air World Wide Contact Centre, Cloud Computing, Business Intelligence, Disaster Recovery Centre, Green Technology, In-house Oracle R12 upgrade, Big Data, Electronic Flight Bag and deploying tablets to cabin crew for on-board services plus ISO 27001, 9001, 20000, 240001, 22301, 55000 and 50001 certifications that have helped further improve customer interface services as well as cost efficiency to the company. He managed to achieve forty three top Middle-Eastern technology awards, including four CIO distinguished awards.
He participated as a key speaker and chairman in over 50 technology conferences in Middle-East and Europe to cover latest technologies such as Cloud Computing, Big Data, Information Security and Business Intelligence. He also published articles in relation to the above topics. Additionally, Dr. Haji is part of several advisory boards of key technological events in the Gulf and he is participating in several judging panels for reputable technology awards. Furthermore, he has featured on 19 international technology and aviation magazines cover pages with over 80 interviews.
Dr. Haji received his Doctorate in Business Administration (PhD) from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, UK in 2010. He has completed his Master degree in Management of Information Technology from the University of Sunderland, UK and graduation in telecommunications from the famed Cable and Wireless College, Cornwall, UK.
He started his career with Sprint Telecommunications in London before joining Gulf Air in 1985 as a network engineer and moved to Sabre – an airline IT solutions company – to whom Gulf Air outsourced its IT services. He then moved to EDS as an Executive Director, another American IT solutions company with global presence, then in 2008 to Gulf Air as the Director of Information Technology Division. He is recently been working as President of Artificial Intelligence Society Bahrain plus Aviation Technology leading expert, consultant and executive Director.
Mr. Kumar Prasoon is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Al Safeer Group of Companies. In this prominent role, he makes technology recommendations for the group’s executive management on the aspects of business intelligence, cloud computing, enterprise 2.0, integrated systems architecture and virtualization.
A majority role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives and to direct the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of company operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development ; and being responsible for all aspects of the organization’s information technology and systems.
In the capacity of Chief Information and Technology Officer , he is responsible for IT infrastructure, vendor management, technology projects, internal business analyst staff.
Eng. Eman Alkhayyal, SEWA’s Chief Information Officer and Information & Communication Technology Manager, she has Bachelor of science in Computer Engineering from Sharjah University and Master in Information Technology Management and Governance form Canadian University of Dubai, in additional to different diploma programs such as Organization Development Diploma , Japanese Management Diploma –KAIZEN, …and currently doing “SEWA Excellence Diploma Program” from American University of Sharjah.
Alkhayyal’s appointed end of 2014 as an IT Manager, and on 2015 she lunched SMART SEWA 2020 initiatives along with the transformation journey plan for IT. In 2016 she has been given “chief information officer” title and has been selected for her distinguish achievements to be within the top 25 performer SEWA employees.
She leaded the Green Bill Campaign on 2016 which aimed to digitize SEWA’s monthly bills by developing public awareness and simulate community participation in the conversation of natural resources, promote sustainability and preserved for the new generation, for that SEWA received two awards the first from Gov Award 2017– IT green initiatives category, and the 2nd from Oracle Excellence Award 2017: Sustainability Innovation category from San Francisco. She also is heading PR committee in AL AMAL camp since 2008 and a member of the organizing team, this camp is an annual event by Sharjah City for humanitarian services. Currently she is heading SEWA WAY team, the champions behind developing SEWA strategy map and aligning 35 + business units with SEWA 2020 vision and strategy.
Mr. Abdul Rahman Jaroudi joined Ajman Bank in August 2014, he has over 30 years of experience in IT Banking Industry. Worked for Commercial Bank Of Qatar as VP Head Operations, Information Technology. High-Profile experience in Qatar and UAE with Commercial Bank of Qatar, Dubai Islamic Bank and Mashreq Bank. Holds MBA degree in E-Banking from Missouri, USA and Bachelor degree of Business Computer.
